The second book issued by the printing house of Franciscus
Skorina (pre-1490 -pre-1541), Belarussian humanist and
enlightener, and founder of printing in Vilnius and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It is an
Orthodox book written in Church Slavic (Cyrillic), intended for home reading, and
considered the apex of artistic design in the history of Slavic books at that time.
